2010 California Tax Credit is a big hit!

As of May 4, 2010, only 4 days since the opening of the 2010 California Tax Credit for New Homes / First Time Buyers, the Franchise Tax Board(FTB) has reported that 427 applications for the First Time Buyer Tax Credit have been received. That is an average of over 100 First Time home buyers closing escrow in each of the first four days of this program!
The FTB has also updated their Frequently Asked Questions list as of May 6, 2010. Some of the new questions address the information First Time Buyers need to provide on the the Form 3549-A. If you are applying for a First Time Buyers Tax Credit, please refer to these questions as you complete your form.
